the bequest

 When an elderly client requests a newly-admitted attorney, Peri Foster, to draft a will with unusual terms, a chain of events ensues which resurrects the past, including an international fraud, a covert investment account worth millions of dollars, a missing husband, and an unknown stepson.  As the client’s family members cover up their own murderous agendas, Peri’s law firm conceals information which compromises the safety of both Peri and her paralegal.  Peri’s client abruptly disappears before the will can be signed.  Soon afterward, Peri realizes that she being followed.  These unusual challenges complicate Peri’s decisions on how far to continue her advocacy while trying to protect herself.
